It was a very strange week in which to have an exhibition, all of us had a case of third year/February blues but we pulled it off and I'm really proud of everyone who took part. I think the show looked great.
You can see a few images of my work above. My theme for the work was unconcious collections, the daily detritus we all collect but place no value on. The wrappers that get discarded in our bags, the crumbs left under the toaster, hair in the plug hole. I exhibited 4 glass jars containing various personal detritus; crumbs, hair, bath water and dust. There were also two light boxes with close up images of the hair and dust that collects in the corners of a room. I'm pretty critical of the work I exhibited, it didn't have the impact I'd hoped but alot of new and exciting ideas have come from it.
